This role-specific intermediate course is designed for developers, architects and technical QA staff who code Web-facing applications.

This focused course equips students with a clear understanding of common attacks against Web-facing applications and best practices for coding securely.

Topics include building secure Web applications, XML and Web services, input/output validation, top Web vulnerabilities, application security tools, and privacy and secrets.

Students should have an understanding of information security basics before taking this course; our Application Security Fundamentals course is the ideal prerequisite.
